I Want My Yusei

Yusei X Aki

“Ok Aki. We’ll see you later.” Rua said. They stood at the front door.

I let out a sigh. “Bye guys.” I waved. I tried to smile but I was a little sad on the inside. They closed the door behind them and left. I sat on the couch and started channel flipping. I had Rua & Ruka’s giant home and all I could do is watch TV. I wanted to go with them. I wanted to have a good time.

“I want my Yusei.” I said out loud. But no! I had to act tough and for what? I missed him during the day. He’s off having fun and I’m stuck here. God I’m bored. But I’m not just bored. I’m lonely. “I wanted to come. But I didn’t want to ask.” I said angrily. “I wish I could spend more time with my Yusei.” Then I felt something hit my face. It was yellow and buttery. I picked it off my lap. It was popcorn. Another hit my shoulder.

“Want some?” I heard somebody ask from them the hallway. Standing in the doorway he was eating popcorn. “Aki, you shouldn’t speak out loud so much.” I felt my cheeks get hot at the sight of him. What if he heard what I said? How long was he standing there?

“Yusei, I-I thought you left.” I stuttered while I uneasily pointed towards the front door.

“That wasn’t me that was Crow. You can’t tell us apart?” He smiled and ate another piece of popcorn.

“Uh. W-well I’m uh glad to see you.” I knew I was blushing. I was so nervous. But I couldn’t let Yusei know that.

He sat next to me on the couch. I swiftly turned my head away. “So how have you been?” He asked nonchalantly.

“Uh well. I’m fine.” He just smiled and ate more popcorn. “How are you?”

“I’m fine. I’m glad I could spend time with my Aki.” I was shocked. I started getting a little more nervous. Then I tried to calm down.

I sat back and tried to act normal. “There’s nothing to like about me.”

He set his hand on mine. I forgot my hand was even there anymore. His grip was warm and reassuring. “There are a lot of things I like about you.”

I tried to look at him. “Like what?”

He sat back but still held my hand in his. “I like how you’re always so nice. I like how you’re always there for us.” He looked at me. I looked back. “I just noticed that I like your eyes to.”

“M-my eyes?”

“Yeah they’re so pretty. And I like your hair to.” He said. He ran his hand through my hair. He leaned in closer.

“Uh. Thanks. That’s nice of you.”

He smiled. “I know how much you like having your Yusei complement you.”

My entire face starting burning up. “W-w-w-wait! W-where did you hear that!?”

“You said it out loud.” He stroked my cheek gently. “I wish you would have told me sooner."

I felt myself lean towards him. “I don’t know why I didn’t tell you. Can you forgive me?”

“Sure.” He pressed his lips against mine. I wrapped my arms around him. I was so happy to spend time with my Yusei.
